Directions

I-95 North to Exit 264. Take Route 11 North at Sherman, in the town of Portage Lake, turn left at Dean's Restaurant onto West Road. You should fill up with fuel at this point. You will be entering the North Maine Woods thru "Fish Gate". At this check point you will have to pay a $50 entrance fee for the week. Take Rocky Brook Road until it ends at mile 46. Turn right to enter Mabec/Blanchet Road at mile 36. At the 3 mile marker, turn left onto the camp road. Follow the camp road to the end which is about 3½ miles. The trip in from Portage Lake is 85 miles on dirt roads.
